Teod Tomlinson is a southern California artist who creates intensely colorful, dramatic figurative neo expressionist paintings. His work has been coveted and collected for years though out the United States. Whether he is painting from life or concocting an imagined scenario his works have a deliberate committed feel to them. The painting’s are like a probing x-ray that reveals the depth of his subject matter. The subjects cascade between the playfully pop cartoonish to the stark impending realism of the human physique. Gallery showings include; Rosemarys Billygoat, Los Angeles Artist Market, Film Roman gallery, Gascon Art Gallery in culver city (two artist show), Susan Anderson Gallery (One man show). Teod is also a published illustrator, character designer and accomplished 3d cg sculptor and character / vfx animator. His work can be found in feature film, television, CD covers, greeting cards, music videos and game cinematics. Some of the projects he has worked on include the CD single cover "prison sex" for the band TOOL, David Lynch’s Mullholland drive, Sundance award winning film “Donnie Darko”, Janet Jackson music video (Doesn't really matter), also from the band TOOL, the award winning music video “sober” (lead character designer and sculpture). He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena
